Much of his compliance practice focuses on counseling the owners and operators of multi-family housing developments regarding the myriad of legal issues that arise during their day-to-day operations, including issues related to fair housing, tenant complaints, lease provisions, and best practices for day-to-day operations. Mitch also advises clients from various industries, including housing, on federal and state privacy laws, proper practices for gathering, using, and protecting personal information, and the legal risks associated with emerging technologies, biometric data, and artificial intelligence (AI).When litigation is inevitable, Mitch stands ready to vindicate or defend his clients’ rights in court. A natural litigator, he has been recognized by publications and peers for his strengths in the courtroom. He has tried jury and bench trials in federal and state courts and briefed appeals with favorable results in venues across the country.
