The mission of the Ed & Nancy Hanenburg Children's Advocacy Center is to provide child centered prevention, advocacy, and team intervention in investigation, assessment, and treatment of child sexual abuse inclusive of all children and families.

The mission of the American Diabetes Association is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. More than 920,000 adults and children are currently living with diabetes in the state of Michigan.As Director of the American Diabetes Association for Greater Michigan, I:* Manage and lead ADA community engagement and development for Greater Michigan, including Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Holland, Lansing, Cadillac, Battle Creek and Traverse City* Develop and manage an annual fundraising budget of approximately $400,000 to support advocacy, research, and programs in Michigan and also nationally. This includes Michigan's only diabetes camp for kids, Camp Midicha* Raise awareness of diabetes and the mission of ADA throughout the Greater Michigan community* Hire, manage and lead staff who work with our Tour de Cure, Step Out: Walk, Father of the Year Awards, and other community-based events* Recruit and engage local community and corporate volunteer leaders, and provide staff leadership to the Greater Michigan ADA Community Leadership Board* Develop and manage mission based community programs

Manage a comprehensive, million-dollar reunion giving campaign for three class reunions, including the recruiting, training, managing and stewarding of 125+ alumni volunteer fundraisers. Identify, research and solicit gifts from prospective donors. Develop and manage the overall marketing & communication strategy particular to each class reunion giving campaign.

Manage the 5-year reunion fundraising committee, various young alumni boards, and the senior class gift fundraising committee (150+ volunteers) annually. Develop relationships, cultivate affinity, and solicit gifts from 50+ reunion and young alumni leadership-level donors and prospective donors annually. Oversee the Young Alumni & Student Giving program budget of $36,000. Direct the fundraising, communication and marketing strategy for alumni classes starting senior year through nine years out. Set the still-standing senior class gift participation record of 64% from the Class of 2012.

Directed the Northwestern Phonathon student-to-alumni call center fundraising efforts that resulted in over $1.5 million raised from 15,000 donors in Northwestern’s fiscal year 2009, a donor record that is still standing. Managed and trained one full-time program assistant, ten student supervisors, and over 200 student callers during tenure. Administered the Phonathons $175,000 program budget, including over $125,000 in wages. Increased donors pledging to the Annual Fund by 20% from fiscal year 2007 to fiscal year 2009.
