Assisted in fund raising prior to close and was in charge or deal sourcing and outreach as Vice President of Armory Square Ventures (ASV). ASV is a seed and early stage venture fund. The fund invests in software, mobile, and technology-enabled services targeting the largest industries in our region. Armory Square Ventures invests up to $1M initially with plenty of reserves for follow-on investments.

Travel to various cities around to assist with the management of Startup Weekend events, work with mentors and act as an ambassador of the organization.

Provided services focused on business expansion; advancing emerging industry sectors; and maximizing the region’s innovation and technology assets. Supported a multi-county regional growth strategy with a network of business leaders, public officials, economic development organizations, and Higher Education administration.

Managed all investment programs as well as programs focused on pipeline development and IP commercialization. Developed a network of angel, seed stage, and series A investors throughout the North East.

Manager of the New York’s Creative Core Emerging Business Competition. Managed and developed a pipeline for the Grants for Growth Program a $1.6 million dollar IP commercialization fund. Provided support for the Central Upstate Regional Alliance and the Onondaga County business retention team.
