Energy Storage Research Engineer
Current- Measure and analyze the heat generation, efficiency, durability, and thermal capacity of energy storage components and systems under specified charge/discharge cycles using the lab's R&D 100 Award-winning Isothermal.
- Implemented intelligent charging algorithms on the cell level, which reduced aging and optimized charge efficiency and led to an additional $300k for the project to continue.
- Designed and ran battery thermal management tests from the cell to the pack level for US automotive manufacturers.
- Increased laboratory testing capability by integrating CAN communication with testing equipment.
- Collaborated with industry partners to develop test requirements and test procedures.
- Analyzed and presented test data to project sponsors.
