As part of Clever Biscuit, a creative collaboration with friends, I had my first experience leading an autonomous cross-functional team. Together, we launched three products, including Recruit’Em, which remains a valuable tool for front-line recruiters today. While not all products succeeded, we embraced a fast-paced, iterative approach to validate ideas and pivot when needed.Our focus on building Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) allowed us to test concepts efficiently, learn quickly, and adapt based on real-world feedback. This was a short-term role and I really enjoyed contributing to a fantastic idea, democratising private aviation, with great people. I learned a lot about the inefficiencies of the private aviation industry - the opportunity was clear. Creating a two-sided marketplace (flyer & pilot) gave me a chance to look at the full experience, end to end.

This was my first experience building a product. As much fun as it was, we missed some fundamental steps in the process. Primarily research. Was there a market for our product? How do we make money? What’s the pricing model? Without answers to these questions we started to build and the project ultimately failed.
