At the completion of this school year, I will have been an educator for 24 years. I began as a chemistry teacher and a coach. In the classroom, I have taught a variety of levels and curricula, including International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement. I have coached several sports, but I am passionate about and love soccer most of all, hence the love for Liverpool. Over the years, I have coached soccer at both the high school and club level and, prior to engaging in my doctoral work, obtained licenses from the USSF and USC (formally NSCAA).After seven years in the classroom and obtaining my master’s degree in secondary education with a specialty in instructional technology, I obtained my first principalship. Thus began my administrative journey.After completing my doctorate in educational leadership, I moved from the principalship to senior leadership, culminating in my current position as Head of School at Windermere Preparatory School.Beyond my local school communities, I have worked globally to co-found an Innovation Network that grew to over 200 educational innovators, have been a leader and thinker in what we call the MindShift project, and am involved as a learner and leader in LearnLife.I am fortunate to do what I do today because of my education. I love learning! As a school head, I desire to see students, teachers, and parents come to love and value learning.
