As a HR Business Partner, my primary focus was partnering with leadership teams across multiple client groups, operationalising our broader HR strategy and providing support on all human capital matters within the Marsh Pacific region. Operating in a highly matrixed role partnering with teams in APAC, North America and the UK, I'm was responsible for a client group of approximately 450 colleagues. Thiess was one of only four ‘Tier 1’ construction contractors within Australia (the construction arm of Thiess has since been moved to affiliate CPB Contractors), employing over 17,000 people with approximately $17.6Bil of work in hand. Whilst at Thiess I was a HR Generalist overseeing the end to end HR calendar of events on the following large scale infrastructure projects:- Boggabri to Maules Creek Rail Project (A$230m) – Leighton Contractors (HR Advisor)- North West Rail Link Tunnelling Project (A$1.15B) – Thiess John Holland Dragardos JV (ER Officer)- Frederickton to Eungai Pacific Highway Upgrade Project (A$456m) – Thiess Pty Ltd (HR Officer)In these roles, I partnered with both professional and blue collar workers for HR service delivery via both FIFO rosters and living on-site in remote locations. Key achievements included:- Mobilising the A$456m F2E project, including recruitment and selection of 200 workforce & professional employees, implementation of the performance management program and right-of-entry procedures to manage local union officials;- Establishing the Indigenous Pre-Employment Program on both the F2E and NWRL project, liaising with local aboriginal land councils, job service agencies and the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet which resulted in being named a finalist in the NSW State Training Awards;- Auditing and correcting unsuccessful ER processes to streamline recruitment, onboarding and probation procedures for a workforce of over 450 on the A$1.5B NWRL project;- Coaching managers on how to manage underperforming colleagues in a highly unionised environment, resulting in zero industrial action on all projects;- Demobilising the A$230m BMCR project by redeploying 94% of professional colleagues and retrenching remaining EBA workforce employees with no industrial action or union involvement.

I started at Thiess as part of a 120 strong cohort graduate program, based in head office supporting the operational delivery of all construction projects across the Construction NSW/ACT and Tunnelling business unit. In this role I was responsible for supporting HR management on implementing the HR strategy and supporting the HR calendar of events. Key focuses included: - Excel modelling projects including creating a HR analytics dashboard to visualise key performance metrics and workforce planning to forecast headcount costs on EOI and tender submissions;- Coordinate the bulk recruitment for the 2014/2015 graduate program, shortlisting over 8500 applications for 100 roles nationally;- Acting HR Officer on the Narrows Marine Crossing tunneling project forming part of the LNG export facilities in Gladstone QLD.

Delta Electricity is a leading electricity generator in the National Electricity Market with total sales revenue of over $500m. Their Vales Point coal fired power station provides a reliable supply of 24-hour baseload electricity to eastern Australia.In this role I was responsible for assisting the HR Manager, Corporate IR Manager and Corporate OHS Manager in designing, developing and implementing projects as they arise. Key projects included:- Assist in the development, negotiation, implementation and review of a standard for managing impairment (including fatigue, drug and alcohol testing) in a highly unionised workplace;- Designed, developed and planned the implementation of a new ‘Trades/Powerworkers Competency Development Framework’ aligned to career and salary progression.

Jam Prospects is an industry leading sports marketing company employing over 250 sales representatives delivering an innovative face-to-face sales product direct to consumer. They have represented a variety of clients from sporting clubs and charitable organisations, where they employ the 'human commercial' approach that ensure a lasting impression of their client’s brand.Achievements:- Awarded 'national salesperson of the month' award 3 out of my first 5 months for most sales of any salesperson.- Chosen for the accelerated development program for team leadership. - Built my book of business to accommodate a team of 15 people within a 12 month period.
