I was in tech but unhappy, so I saved $42k to chase a dream. I left my job, bought a camera, and set off to the Philippines to make videos.It was hard. I wasn’t good. I didn’t know what I was doing.Rather than quit, I found other content creators who were crushing it and slid into their DMs.This was my “unpaid apprenticeship” era.Alongside Nas Daily, Project Nightfall, Dear Alyne, and Franco Dubini, we traveled the world and made videos.Things started to click!Slowly, I got better and better.I had a series of viral videos—from the planet’s highest tides and the most dangerous hotel, to the crazy story of the man in the iron lung.I was finding my stride, making money, and living my best life.Then, things took a turn. COVID ruined travel for me, and I couldn’t make travel videos.
