Development of PDK and PDE automation tools for use in physical layout design. Conducted TD for physical design engineering workflows using Cadence Virtuoso with integrated (internal and open-source) automation tools/software utilizing Python and SKILL APIs, among other languages.

Developed a novel nanospectroscopic AFM modality based on the photo-induced force produced through IR optical absorption on a sample’s surface. The research focused on developing solid-state characterization methods to probe/validate electrical, optical, and noise properties of prototypical materials such as MoS2/hBN Twisted Bilayer Moiré Structures, Spin-Based Qubit Architecture (SBQA), Nanodot and SAM quantum-level structures, and others. This work integrated many custom-designed circuits and hardware-driven-software functioning asynchronously. The culmination of this research resulted in my thesis developing and introducing the d-PiFM scanning method for use in AFM.

This research focused on computational astrophysics. Using the Texas State University LEAP supercomputing cluster, scripts were run to simulate N binary star systems on a galactic scale and extrapolate their effects on stellar evolution. The focus of data extraction was on the black hole and neutron star contributions. The program used for simulation is Binary_C (Linux shell/terminal, C, Python, Perl). I presented preliminary results at a Texas Chapter APS Meeting in Oct. 2018.
