I am currently a backend GoLang engineer at Datadog working on the Google Cloud Platform integrations team. I develop applications that retrieve hundreds of thousands of data points a minute from GCP and associate those points with resource metadata in order to provide enriched monitoring information that gives customers greater visibility into their applications and infrastructure. We are currently working alongside Google to expand the resources we monitor as they develop beta APIs to expose more Cloud Platform data. We are also simplifying the onboarding and configuration process to get closer to a one click installation new users, and automating tasksAt previous positions I worked as a backend/devops engineer at Capital One on the credit card Acquisitions Management Platform. The applications that I developed were responsible for creating and managing active credit card offerings, and booking newly created user accounts when these offers are accepted. At Capital One I developed skills in building highly scalable GoLang microservices and deploying them using Docker and ECS in AWS. Due to Capital One's effort to be entirely cloud based, I have become proficient in using AWS. I have a good deal of experience redesigning old APIs and shifting them into equivalent AWS technologiesIn a previous position I managed APIs that determined trustworthiness of customer information by validating their data against a suite of external identity vendors (LexisNexis, Experian, etc)I also worked with the database administrators facilitating Capital One's data migration to the AWS Cloud, automating account creation and user permissions in Snowflake and Redshift
