I am a full-stack javascript developer with experience using React, Node, Express, and PostgreSQL. Background in textile manufacturing and production, project management and organization. I love to know the "why" or "how" something works or runs. I thrive at being able to tinker and learn the details to understanding the end product.I have over 10 years in the manufacturing and production enviroment. This has helped me hone skills such as: time management, project organization, quality assurance, and a keen eye for the smaller details. My passion lies in being able to see how something functions. It's encoded in my DNA to be able to take something apart and see all the moving parts involved and have an understanding how it all works. Programming is the same, I get to build something from the ground up and get to see each step towards the functionality of the end product.I'm motivated towards learning and eager to improve. While working full time, I learned to code through the Thinkful course. Through my experiences in the manufacturing industry, I've come to learn how to problem solve through different approaches, efficiently manage time, attention to detail, and communication between a diverse group of teammates. I am willing to learn new skills has I go down my path to coding.Technical Skills Include: JavaScript (ES6 & JSX), jQuery, React, HTML5, CSS3, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, Knex.js, test-driven development with Mocha + Chai.
