These include police, crime and courts; city government; COVID-19 and the pandemic; education and the local school districts; and local developments and business openings. In addition to operating the day-to-day and month-to-month with 1870 Magazine, I write and edit articles for our parent company, (614) Magazine as well as our food driven publication, Stock & Barrel. This job entails pitching stories, being assigned stories, attending meetings with freelance writers, edit other writers' stories, and attend weekly and monthly editorial meetings in the office to plan for the upcoming issues. We provide coverage and commentary on events and happenings on the Oho State campus in Columbus, Ohio. Typically, I oversee three to five interns who work in the office on a weekly basis and receive money and/or class credit as well as five to seven freelance reporters whom I meet with on a monthly basis.

Monitor, control and operate 1870 Magazine's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Provide content for all of the media outlets including (614) Magazine, (614) Home, 1870 Magazine, and Stock & Barrel. Additionally, I help write and edit calendar blurbs, pitch story ideas and monitor online content for errors or mishaps.
