Subject Matter Expert; Post Production Technologies; Home Entertainment Feature Mastering and Media Distribution Pipeline, as it relates to the following new technologies:- Ultra High-Definition (UHD/4K)- High Dynamic Range (ST.2084), including both Static and Dynamic Metadata, - High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC/H.265)- Wide Color Gamut (P3, REC2020) and Color Processing- Display Technologies (LCD/LED, OLED Panels)- Diagnostic Tools (Scopes, Measurement Devices, Spectroradiometers- Mastering of Feature Productions using the SMPTE Interoperable Master Format•Designed, Developed, and Maintain the Fox Advanced Tech Lab on the Fox Studios Lot•Chosen and Participating in the Fox High Potential Program of Advanced Leadership Executive Program. •Research, develop, and design new and emerging technologies in the field of Advanced Formats; High Dynamic Range (HDR), Ultra-High Definition (UHD) and Wide Color Gamut (WCG) for Feature and TV Episodic Mastering and advanced compression. •Design, Develop, Lead and Advance the Interoperable Master Format (IMF) for all Home Video Feature and TV Episodic Archival and Service Masters. Develop Internal Specification based on SMPTE Standards. Work with Mastering Tool Vendors, to ensure that specifications are met, and develop advanced workflows to maximize efficiencies and maintain the highest quality of source content. •Design, Develop, Lead and Advance HDR Mastering for all Fox Features•Design, Develop, Lead and Advance HEVC Compression Technologies, JPEG200, ProRes and other advanced formats to support UHD and HDR. •Work closely with Home Video Mastering Scheduling, Marketing, Finance, Post-Production and Production Executives to gain consensus, and implement technology related to Grading, Mastering, and Distribution•Chair of the SMPTE 35PM – 2067-9 Sidecar Composition Map Working Group•Evaluate and Develop Signal Processing and Signal Evaluation tools

* Develop and implement system design solutions for File Based Content Processing, Monitoring and Control of Broadcast Systems including the Work Flow System for DIRECTV on Demand and the High Definition Automation System (iTX). Manage Transcoder and QC Farm for VOD Applications, including Set Top Box and Mobile Streams. Set Standards for Transcoding of all Content, and QC (pre/post). Implement Dynamic Ad Insertion into VOD Based Content, including C3 and D4 based content files. Implement a UHD (4K) approach for VOD Content, as well as Live Linear Playback. * Responsibilities include defining system requirements, writing technical specifications and interface control documents as well as integrating and testing of content processing, monitor and control systems at broadcast centers and various uplink sites. * Project Management tasks include managing vendors, design reviews, integration and test as well as project schedules / budgets.

o Responsible for production of On-Air Promotions for PPV Movie and Special Events + Includes Editing, Voice Over, Graphics and Submission for Air on the Entire DIRECTV network o Hiring, negotiating and booking freelance production crew for in-house shoots o Negotiation and rental of production equipment when necessary o Production Budget and Purchase Order requests in association with the Exec. Producer o Production Schedules and daily shoot call-sheets o On-camera and voice over talent bookings (in assoc. with the segment producers) o Securing of locations and location permits o Various operational functions to ensure that promotional materials meet on-air deadlines

o Responsible for design, budgeting, integration and operational readiness for over 750 broadcast channels at the Los Angeles Broadcast Center. o Managed and led a staff of 54 Operations Personnel, including 32 in Broadcast Operations, 10 in Program Preparation/Edit, and 12 in Production Operations. o Manage On-Air Operations for the DIRECTV Network of 750 channels of Programming. Responsible for maintaining targeted on air availability for various services of 99.94%, including Ad Sales, Local into Local Services, Origination Material and Interactive/data services. Lead the design and integration of new technologies into the Los Angeles Broadcast Center to increase efficiencies and lower costs. o Manage Production Operations Team, which includes Technical Directors and Ingest/Editors to support the DIRECTV Mix Services. Includes schedule and assigning both human and equipment resources to ensure production values are met.
