Field projects ranged from $5000 to >$5M.Specialty projects included:Construction manager and system operator of a 9 month FGD wastewater treatment pilot in Georgetown, SC. Project scope included construction and commissioning of a physchem system designed to remove trace amounts of mercury, selenium, and other contaminants located in the power plant scrubber overflow. Personally oversaw and coordinated the 3 month construction phase and served as the system operator for the 6 month pilot covering operations, maintenance, and repair for the physchem equilibrium.Project Manager of various boiler outages including the following:> Demolition and replacement of two stainless steel SDA towers > Complete rebuild of stoker grates and replacement of primary airheater tubes > Weld overlay of boiler waterwall & pendant changeout> Mechanical construction and support of two HRSG chemical cleaning operations> Routine mechanical inspection and repair of HRSG for 5 duty cycles > International boiler economizer header changeout

By understanding a product's function from both a commercial and technical perspective I was able to troubleshoot errors even when I was unfamiliar with the software.

Conroe, Tx

Our Senior Design team designed a partitioning mechanism which chops scarfs into 2" to 3" segments and designed an observation device which monitored this process for reliability. Due to the size of the pipe manufactured at the Conroe facility, conventional methods of observation devices could not be used. The finalized chopping blade concept was modeled and analyzed extensively within SolidWorks, a 3-D CAD software. Each sensor prototype had to be vigorously tested to ensure its durability within the harsh environment in the Conroe Facility.

Daniel Measurement And Control

During my internship with Daniel Measurement and Control, I managed four ultrasonic metering system projects and one orifice meter project. As the five projects were all at different stages of production, I was able to understand the basic product workflow from quote to cash. This process knowledge was then used to make critical time-sensitive decisions on material procurement methods. During the internship I was also properly trained and granted access to shadow alongside the machine operators in order to understand the individual job numbers displayed in the ORACLE database.
