As an Operations Manager (PT) working remotely, my responsibilities include coordinating with our engineers and management on all things hardware, software, or transmitter related. My role in this department mostly involves making sure that engineering and management are on the same page, and that all reports to the FCC are filed on-time and correctly. My primary role (and previously only role before assuming the responsibilities of Ops Manager in mid 2016) centers on the Production side of things - Editing Copy, Voicing/Tracking/Producing spots for local businesses, PSA campaigns, Local News and weather liners and Obituaries as well as content from local and national agencies. In addition I host a tracked two hour Saturday Morning Show centered on "Classic Country". In my time as Operations Manager we have grown as a broadcaster, seeing increasing annual profits,. We have expanded our local and syndicated music and news programming and grown our audience as well. In addition, as of summer 2018 we have added an FM station (translated from AM), WFER Classic Rock, bringing more content, news and music to our audience across the UP and Northern Wisconsin.
