Senior Frontend Developer

As a Senior Frontend Developer at Anaplan, I implemented leading class frontend features to Anaplan’s internal administration suite of products that were used by our internal support team.Being a part of an agile remote team, I often lead team discussions regarding technical debt in order to ensure we were always utilizing modern tooling to its full potential and make our applications as performant as possible.Communicating with the backend team was a large part of the role. I would then integrate API endpoints to the frontend with thorough component test cases, end to end testing, and CI pipeline verification.Building a leading class React component library has always been a goal of mine. I accomplished this by continual contributions to our shared React component library - Anaplan Design System / Palette.I always stay on top of the latest frontend technologies, as exampled by a key understanding of modern React practices through use of hooks & context in order to maintain clean, easily readable components that require little to no documentation for other developers to understand.

Assistant Marketing Coordinator

Woodstock, On

Throughout my time at Execulink, I was highly-involved in event planning for our three customer appreciation days throughout various "hot spot" communities. I was in charge of stakeholder communication to secure promotional items, venue pricing, and food/beverage acquisition. Secondly, I would analyze web & mobile trends in order to maintain website & social media prevalence. My goal was to identify the information that our followers would want to know & return to our feed each day. Additionally, I had routine exposure to web analytic tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, and Twitter Analytics. This proved to be important in evaluating and targeting unique visitors to our webpages.

Marketing Intern

Peterborough, Ontario

Collection of in-depth market research within the forestry industry was an essential role of mine during my time at the Ontario Wood Program. My research began with analyzing industry projections through various reports documented in recent years. I followed up this research, with face-to-face interviews with local lumber yard owners & purchasing managers in order to gauge rationale behind where they were importing their lumber & wood products from. Using this information, I believed I had enough industry knowledge & awareness to develop a marketing strategy to inform Home Improvement Retailers within Ontario of the benefits of joining the Government funded "Ontario Wood Program". Forest Industry marketing materials & branding packages were an essential part of my marketing plan. I designed & organized these packages personally & even designed an information graphic about the OWP to hand out at tradeshows our team attended. My marketing strategy proved to be effective as I was able to not only inform numerous Home Improvement Retailers about the program, but actually signing 6 of these retailers to full-time contracts with the OWP to help promote awareness of our program. I continually managed these client relationships via face-to-face meetings, email, & phone conversations.

Communications Co-Ordinator

Waterloo, On

In this role, I was part of the team that was responsible for communication within the entireInformation, Systems & Technology department whose goal was creating a new student portal website that met the students’ needs for information the current uWaterloo website could not. In order to develop such a site, the programming team needed to first identify the students’ needs, which my team was tasked with fulfilling. After establishing our fundamental goals and objectives for the project, we began conducting user research on campus with numerous studentfocus groups. Using the gathered research, our team created user profiles, developed a task analysis, and documented user scenerios. From here, our team then created mock-ups, wireframes, and a navigation model for the UW student portal using MyBalsamiq. Through communicating with the programming team, they were able to create low-fidelity prototypes for us to test with student users. Since my departure at the end of my co-operative work term in May of 2013, the IST team has launched a UW portal beta in May of 2014 and then gone on to launch the fully functioning student portal in September 2014.
