My 20 year career in mental health, special education, and human services has led me to the place of understanding the depth of system change needed in education. as necessary for the social and emotional wellness of our society. My recent professional development has centered around trauma responsiveness, equity and belonging, and how to transition from crisis intervention to creating educational systems that hold space for the wholeness, lived experiences, and assets of youth. It is my intention to integrate my empathetic approach to communicating with children, educators, and caregivers with my career background and specialities to foster educational redesign with a collaborative and future-focused team.
