I wrote a book about two technologies I really enjoy working with: Kafka Streams and ksqlDB. I also taught multiple live courses on the O'Reilly Learning Platform.

• Designed and developed an asynchronous statistical analysis program called Outliers. This application allows users to quickly identify mathematical trends in large datasets.• Built an event-reporting tool called TIGER that allows members of the NOC to monitor and respond to technology-related events that occur within our organization.• Developed a tool for monitoring the upcoming expirations of SSL certificates. • Built a web application for tracking the location and production status of hard drives at LexisNexis. This tool interfaces with a QR code scanner that updates a centralized inventory database.

As the Research Coordinator for the Fuchsia Women's Health Project, my responsibilities changed as we entered new stages of the study. However, my primary responsibility was to determine which technologies our group used, and to implement these solutions as quickly and efficiently as possible. Since the data we worked with was highly sensitive private health information, every technology we used adhered to high levels of security in compliance with the HIPAA Privacy Rule. An overview of my work is included below.• Buit and maintained a relational database to aid the recruitment phase of our study. Ensured database normalization, referential integrity, and other industry standards for database design and architecture.• Built a web application to facilitate medical record abstraction procedures at several hospitals and healthcare facilities in the state of Georgia. The technologies used in this application are HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, PHP, and MySQL• Led a team of 16 volunteers, students, and study staff in a coordinated effort to recruit over 2,500 individuals in an NIH-sponsored cancer research project.

I didn't know what I wanted to do after college, so I started importing tequila.This work included:• Visiting multiple tequila producers in the Jalisco region of Mexico, and selecting a blend for my tequila• Collaborating with local glass producers to create a beautiful set of bottles for my tequila brand• Registering international trademarks for my tequila brand, Pasamelo• Conducting extensive market research for the tequila industry in Central and South America
