Architected, designed, and oversaw the implementation of Array's enterprise systems from Discovery through Commercialization. Started with E-Notebook solutions for Medicinal Chemists and finished with CRM for Sales. Found best-in-class COTS solutions, collaborated with partners (PerkinElmer Informatics and Medidata) to produce commercial products, and, when appropriate, architected, designed, and implemented custom solutions with a team of software engineers.Provided technical oversight, review, guidance, and software solutions for partner collaborations.Key systems include the E-Notebook, Chemical Inventory, Chemical Registry, Chemical Structure Searching, Biological Assay Management, Chemical and Biology Datamart, Electronic Data Capture, Clinical Trial Management System, Clinical Site Payments, Translational Medicine Inventory Management, Drug Safety Reporting Systems, Regulatory Publishing, Regulatory Submissions, Drug Serialization, Customer Relationship Management, Enterprise Document Management, and Enterprise Resource Planning.Some detail on a couple of systems:• Regulatory Submissions – Led IT effort of the Regulatory Operations department to upgrade their custom in-house and file-based systems into systems compliant with FDA 21 CFR Part 11. Supported vendor selection, initial implementation, migration of existing data, and a FDA NDA submission. Learned systems including Veeva Vault and Liquent Insight. Certified in Veeva Vault Administration.• Array CTMS – designed and implemented a clinical data warehouse which houses near real-time data from Medidata Rave. Building upon the data, created numerous EDC metric reports: lag metrics, query metrics, productivity dashboard, subject enrollment, and site performance reports. Site performance rolls-up the performance from the field level to measure eCRF page and visit entry and completion. Utilizing the site performance report, created a site payments module that generates payments for 100% data entry.

• Technical lead for database team of nine developers for LinkMapper (genetic analysis) product; architected and designed major portions of the LinkMapper product and architected future products; mentored database developers in advanced SQL constructs, dynamic query generation, and Oracle techniques; designed and implemented a number of the applications within LinkMapper product (Java).• Led domain analysis for the Discovery Manager/Java (enterprise-wide) product; wrote numerous functional specifications; created UML and ER models for enterprise-wide product. Object and data model were licensed to Applied Biosystems for a $3 million equity investment.

• Technical lead on a twelve person, enterprise-wide automotive customer retention system. System was designed to send 200,000+ letters, schedule and record 300,000+ phone calls, and send 10,000 facsimiles daily per week based upon dealership’s new sales, repair orders, and maintenance schedules. System handled all aspects of the business including dealership installations, customer service, dealership imports of data, call center monitoring, miscellaneous exports, etc. Designed and wrote maintenance schedule client software and vehicle owner maintenance schedule instantiation software.• Technical lead for a telephony and convergence market usage rating system. System rated near real-time metropolitan switch CDRs with flexible rating rules and procedures. • Led a team implementing the next generation conference rating system. Delivered rating system to international telephone companies and their customers.

• Architected, designed, and implemented OO Knowledge-Based (KB) portion of Capacity Provisioning Toolset which placed new and grows existing network elements based upon the policies of the business; led team of 7 software engineers in multiple locations’ favorably demonstrated toolset to end-users; assisted process users in their process development, led data conversion effort which converted data from LEIM/TMM to Oracle databases.• Chaired technical subcommittee for frame-based system known as Initiative for Managing Knowledge Assets (IMKA) technologies, providing technical support for IMKA technologies; managed, designed, and coded in conjunction with IMKA developers, two knowledge base constraint languages and inferencing mechanisms.• Co-developed, maintained, and enhanced case-based reasoning system which automatically resolves Requests for Manual Assistance (RMA) from circuit facility system (60K per month).• Designed and coded a causal reasoning system that implements the “Systems Thinking” work out of MIT based upon initial prototype; documented and delivered system, demonstrated system to numerous groups and symposiums, assisted in system training and authored and co-authored system manuals.

Designed, introduced, enhanced, and coded for the Air Force Tactical Expert Mission Planner contract in the areas of user interface, knowledge base updates, record and playback facilities, and network services; converted system to Genera 7.1 and performed configuration management.

Gathered requirements, designed rule-based expert system, and then managed AI team for target assignment problem; designed and coded user interface, error handling, simulation design analysis tools, and integration with KEE on a Symbolics 3670 LISP Workstation for the Air Force Rapid Prototyping System contract.
