This was my second assignment for Accountemps. It was temp-to-hire, and they hired me after six months, in May 2010. I gather time and attendance information for 450 or so employees in five cities, collate the information and balance hours and dollars daily. On a weekly basis, I balance hours and dollars and send balanced pay period information to corporate payroll for check processing. I also handle vacation tracking for my cities. I have several end of month duties, most prominent being a month-end payroll accrual tabulation, and there is year-end activity, too, which makes for a hectic holiday season. I was trained by the best, though, and the team I work with is one of the best at Smurfit. We strive to get everyone paid the right amount, on time, every week.

This was my first assignment for Accountemps, completed Wed., September 30, 2009. I was processing payroll information for HVAC techs and support employees in five cities. In addition, I performed reviews of my colleagues' processing and cooperated in checking our work until the payroll was confirmed. This was an Excel-heavy assignment.

Daily timekeeping for payroll, accounts receivable collections, credit management, composition and updating of production and sales reports. Assisted with billing, backed up receptionist, and was emergency proofreader.

Customer service, stocking, signage, cash control, preventing and avoiding underage sales.
