Current•I have over 7 years of robust cardiothoracic and vascular surgery experience and have been involved in all facets of perioperative patient care. •Over the last 3 years, I have grown as a surgical first assistant and have taken on additional responsibilities in the OR that include advanced graft procurement and first assisting in robotic and minimally invasive surgeries. In addition, my year-over-year robotic surgery volume increased by 75% highlighting that I am proficient in learning new skills. Of note, I initiated a totally endoscopic radial artery harvest program at our institution and have personally performed over 25 such procedures. •My role is to help supervise, manage, and educate staff of 8 Advanced Practice Providers with the added responsibility of on-boarding and training new hires. •I initiated a new graft solution protocol that is vasoprotective and parallel with industry standard.•I helped standardize surgeon preference cards that directly cut costs and minimized waste.•I collaborate with industry peers to discuss cardiovascular-related current events and streamlined efficiencies regarding salaries and call pay to improve staff retention. I am proficient at the following procedures:Endoscopic Vein & Artery Harvesting, First Assist in Adult Cardiac Surgery including Coronary Revascularization, Complex Valve Replacement, Complex Adult Congenital, Aortic Surgery: Aortic Dissections and Root and Arch Replacements; Minimally Invasive and Robotic Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery; Heart Failure and Mechanical Circulatory Support: Heart Transplantation, ECMO, and Ventricular Assist Devices. I also have experience in delivering and managing care for inpatient consults, pre- and post-operative patients, and outpatient clinic patients.
