We perform at-scale end-to-end performance analysis and work with teams to optimize current and future architecture roadmaps. My primary focus is on helping IP leaders understand the complex interactions of distributed large scale warehouse scale systems and software and push down actionable insights to help build a more robust and performant architecture feature roadmap. On a day to day basis I attend to running performance architecture deep-dives, competitive system-scale projections, and experimenting with benchmarks, or even occasionally hacking some tools or microbenchmarks.

The teams work influenced roadmap of internal IP and software teams as well as of leading ARM partners. My day-to-day responsibilities blended roles of individual contribution and engineering management of a small team of experienced performance analysts. -

My day-to-day work consisted of leading a small team of research scientists to execute and deilver multiple milestones to the DoE national labs. Additionally, I helped in winning grant proposals as a co-PI and lead research tech transfer initiatives to product teams. My team contributed to AMDs research leadership in form of dozens of innovative patents and several top-tiered conference publications. -

The models were delivered as part of the PMaC modeling suite to the DoE and DoD for future system procurement and performance optimization of existing HPC software. -
Systems Researcher - Research AssociateUniversity Of Texas At El Paso Jan 2003 - Dec 2009El Paso, Tx, UsMy PhD. advisor was Dr. Patricia J. Teller and my focus was computer architecture and systems. In my doctoral dissertation I developed a methodology to improve throughput of SMT (hyper-threading) processors by assigning differentiated resources via priorities. My thesis showed that data centers could use SMT to increase system throughput by 20-30% and potentially reduce overall TCO. In addition to the dissertation I worked on projects funded by the systems lab: 1) Virtualization performance analysis project with IBM AIX performance team, 2) Modeling complex partial differential equation solvers and using them for execution steering. -
