* Inspecting consignments of crude or refined petroleum to certify that consignments conform to contract specifications of quantity and quality* Withdrawing samples from top, middle and bottom of cargo tanks and routes samples to laboratory for analysis* Examining petroleum during transfer into receiving tank for discoloration or water* Sounds shore tank with steel tape and consults calibration tables to determine quantity of consignment* Preparing reports of findings and complete compilation of field documents* Calibrating tanks, meters, and tank cars* Performing bunker delivery surveys to independently check and determine the barge delivered quantity and the vessel received quantity to determine these two quantities are within acceptable tolerance and if not, investigate the cause of the discrepancy
