For over 8 years, I worked at internet giant, AOL. Beginning with its call center operations, I moved out 5 months later into AOL Search where I worked on various editorial projects until late 2007.From late 2007 to early 2010, I managed channel verticals for AOL's Australian and Indian online web offerings -- namely in the entertainment, gaming and men's lifestyle portfolio. During this period, I was commended and received much praise for being the first to successfully use social media to substantially increase traffic to select AOL websites. My role was so significant that I helped blow past our annual pageviews target in just a matter of months after AOL Australia's launch. We were given a target of 10 million page views (PVs) for the first year of operations. We generated over 80 million PVs, out of which I alone contributed 30+ million using social news websites like Digg and Reddit.In 2010, I moved to a project managing a team of 14 editors for AOL's hyper-local collective of websites under Patch.com.I last worked for AOL Television where I was commended for the quick results achieved incorporating Hulu.com video content into AOL's entertainment properties and thereby growing incremental income.
