About Mitja Čander
Mitja Čander is a Slovenian writer, essayist, editor, screenwriter and playwright. He published four independent books, which have been translated into several foreign languages, wrote the script for 11 documentaries and worked as a playwright on six drama performances. 40 of his texts were published in foreign literary magazines.He is currently the director of the publishing house Beletrina, whose co-founder and editor he has been since 1996. In 2019, the Association of Slovenian Publishers awarded him the publisher of the year award.His passion is chess, in which he earned the title of chess master candidate.
