I am a postdoctoral researcher specialized in nanophotonics based sensors and medical imaging. My PhD thesis entitled “Hybrid surface plasmon modes in metallic nanostructures : Theory, numerical analysis and application to bio-sensing” demonstrated the feasibility of using novel nanostructures and harnessing hybrid polariton modes for enhanced probing of biomolecules using Surface Plasmon resonance (SPR) and Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS). All simulations were done using lab written codes (in Matlab) based on Rigorous Coupled Wave Analysis (RCWA) and Finite Element Methods (FEM). I developed analytical models to explain the EM coupling between different plasmonic modes in nano-structures and their efficiency in molecular detection. The PhD was carried out at the Institute of Optics (IOGS), Palaiseau and Université Paris Saclay, France. I also have a strong academic background in optics and photonics having done my masters in the domain with joint degrees from Institute of Optics (Palaiseau, France) and TU Delft (The Netherlands) as a part of the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship program.I have gathered enormous experience in various fields of theoretical and experimental optics during my post-doctoral research, namely on plasmonic imaging, thermo-plasmonics, thermodiffusion of ferrofluids and preclinical biomedical imaging. I have over 15 publication in reputed peer reviewed journals, an international patent (with Philips research) and more than 10 oral presentations at international conferences and symposiums. I also have experience of working in multiple European and French national projects and multi-partner collaborations. My expertise also include developing/assembling/handling complex optics/photonics based experimental setups such as dual SPR and SERS experimental prototype, forced Rayleigh scattering to measure thermodiffusion, small angle neutron scattering, multimodal ultrafast ultrasound, multispectral photoacoustic imaging and positron emission tomography (PET).
