Mittu Gopalan is a debt recovery expert with extensive court experience, extending from Local Courts through to the Supreme Court of New South Wales.Providing advice to companies and professional firms on a wide range of business matters, is another major part of Mittu's activities. She also has experience working as a Family lawyer including property settlements, parenting issues, child abduction (especially where countries are not covered by Hague Convention- eg children being abducted to India), spousal maintenance and de facto relationships. She strenuously works on amicably resolving the outstanding issues between parties without the need for pursuing legal proceedings. One of her key previous roles was managing the Debt Recovery Practice of MBBF, which was associated with Dun & Bradstreet. Mittu speaks fluent Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi. In June 2013, Mittu established the legal firm, Freedman & Gopalan with Mr Harry Freedman. Her role then also included managing the debt recovery practice of Australian Recoveries and Collections P/L.Mittu also awarded a Bachelor of Academic Law (B.A.L) at the Mahatma Gandhi University (1993).
