City Council MemberCity Of Kimberly Jun 2010 - Jan 2012Kimberly, IdahoI was appointed by the Mayor to complete an open term on the Kimberly City Council. In addition to my regular duties as a City Councilwoman, I was a City liaison to the Ageless Senior Center in Kimberly and the Rock Creek Fire District. I held board member positions on the Kimberly Library Foundation and East End Providers (a non-profit organization helping needy families and senior citizens). I was a weekly guest on a live 15 minute radio program called the “East End Update” – reporting the latest news and events in the cities of Kimberly, Hansen, and Murtaugh. During the summer of 2011, I was the co-chairman of Operation Facelift in Kimberly. I helped obtain community donations and coordinated over 1000 hours of volunteer time to paint and repair fourteen buildings in downtown Kimberly. As a result Kimberly was awarded “The Most Improved City” in the Magic Valley by the Southern Idaho Economic Development Agency.
