In my previous role at NCS (National Citizen Service), I was responsible for leading and facilitating youth development programs designed to build skills, confidence, and social responsibility in young people aged 16 to 17. My primary responsibilities included organizing and overseeing various activities, including team-building exercises and workshops. I worked closely with a diverse group of participants, helping them navigate challenges, develop new skills, and work collaboratively towards common goals.This role helped me with my communication skills with my other colleagues, as we had to coordinate where we were to supervise all the young people. This job was challenging, and physically draining, which meant keeping up morale was difficult, but I learnt to keep a positive attitude in difficult situations and I managed to keep up the energy of the young people. I managed to keep up with constant changes in plan and think on my feet whenever the situation called for it, which developed my ability to adapt to new scenarios quickly, and also prevented the young people from losing interest quickly.Through my work at NCS, I developed a strong ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances, and engage with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds. I am proud of the positive impact I had on the participants, helping them gain valuable life skills and confidence that they could carry forward into their future endeavors.

I was working in a fast paced, high-stress environment. I would cater to customers and their needs while also helping maintain the shop floor, learning new floor plans consistently, as well as managing the fitting rooms when needed to. This required me to be active, act under pressure and be quick thinking while maintaining a positive and uplifting attitude.
