Team member of a project implemented by a private company for their CSR activities, in partnership with the UP Marine Science Institute. The main objective was to conduct biological assessments of the coastal ecosystems (mangrove, seagrass, and coral reef) within the company's designated site. I was in charge of data collection to determine the status of fish communities in each of the coastal ecosystems. Prior to field work, I ensured smooth coordination between the project team & implementing agency and local people's organization for preparation for research activities at the site. I also assisted in various project management tasks such as budget management and settlement of project expenses.A scientific recommendations report was produced from the collected data, which will aid the company in future plans for environmental sustainability projects in their adopted site.

Research associate for a project that was implemented by a private company, in partnership with the UP Marine Science Institute. Specifically, my project component gathered data on fish communities (such as diversity, abundance, and biomass values) and the corresponding benthic biota in various seagrass and coral reef sites in the Philippines. The collected data was used in conjunction with that of other project components to provide holistic insight on the ecological health of the visited sites. Additionally, I performed various project management duties necessary for proper execution of the project. These include procurement of supplies and settlement of expenses.The output of this project was presented to the relevant stakeholders (e.g. local government units, provincial environmental management offices, people's organizations, etc.) and will aid the company’s sustainability wing on how to move forward with their efforts regarding future projects and partnerships.

I worked for a project funded by the DENR-BMB, entitled: “Predicting Responses between Ocean Transport and Ecological Connectivity of Threatened Ecosystems in the West Philippine Sea (PROTECT-WPS)”. My assigned tasks involved gathering, analyzing, and writing a scientific report on coral reef benthic data during a research expedition to the West Philippine Sea. This required surveys to be conducted in various coral reef sites with the use of SCUBA.

- Coordinated with suppliers and assisted in purchasing of necessary materials for the project.- Contributed to the analysis of reef benthic data sets relevant to the project.
