2D and Puppet Flash Animator

A freelance artist that specializes in Animation, Illustration, and Stop Motion Fabrication. Being extremely self motivated and having the ability to set and follow strict time constraints, while building a system for organization, has allowed me to construct creative dialogues between my commission clients and myself. My process begins with the written construction of the project through poetry and further develops through in depth character studies and world creation. I am well versed in a multitude of animation processes that range from 2D Hand Drawn/CG to Stop Motion animation. My illustrative style is one that I have honed through both traditional and digital exploration. Studying at the Rhode Island School of Design has equipped me with the ability to design and problem solve without hesitation. This allows me to immediately fulfill all of the clients wants and needs out of a project.

Junior Product and Illustration Designer for Viking Magic Products. Worked in a tight, time restrictive environment in which I had to be self motivated in order to create my high caliber designs and engineer their leap from paper to packaged magic trick. I was given projects that required building a relationship between the clientele and myself in order to construct a creative dialogue that would engineer the best final product.

As a leader in my class, I was entrusted with a great amount of departmental responsibilities. This job was composed of compiling or creating unique graphics for emails, posters, events and extensive video documentation of milestone events. It also included guiding school tours of approximately 25-50 prospective students (and their parents) through the RISD Film/Animation/Video department, marketing the department through both personal experiences and historical knowledge, organizing, cataloging, and recalibrating film equipment, and assisting in any/all of the Department Coordinator's daily tasks.

As one of the leaders in my field, I was chosen to instruct a classroom of 15 students in the basics of Cinema Production and teach them the foundations of cinematography. My ability to organize key topics, convey concepts, instructions, and critique in an understandable and thorough manner was pertinent in this leadership role.

Filming the nightlife in a high energy environment that required attentiveness, alertness, and precision with a great understanding of dual-action recording so that all the best shots were captured. The footage was later edited with various programs in the Adobe Suite to create promotional videos that were used to increase patronage at the club.

I was identified as a leader in my field and had been chosen to instruct a classroom of 17 students in the basics of Darkroom Photography while educating them in the science behind these very influential modern day inventions. Keeping record of all key topics discussed during daily lessons and composing them into study guides, pamphlets, and handouts for students to use in the field was just one of the many responsibilities I had. Constantly researching new historical material to better assist the students in understanding complex topics and aiding them in the creative process was something I was always commended on.
