Hi! My name is Miya and I am a freshman double majoring in International Business and Marketing at the University of Delaware. I spent my first semester of college studying in Madrid, Spain as a member of UD's World Scholars program. I am passionate about integrating myself into a globalized community and gaining experience working with people of all backgrounds. I have learned that I work best in team environments. My six year field hockey career taught me that goals, both physical and mental, cannot be accomplished without all players working as a unit. This lesson translated into my job as a chiropractic scribe for my parents clinic; businesses can only thrive when all members are working together for the greater good of the company. Working in diverse environments when everyone puts their best attitudes forward is truly a gift-- you hear different perspectives, gain new experiences, and connect with people that have valuable knowledge that may change your worldview.
