Leslie Armstrong is the Communications Coordinator for Community Consolidated School District 46 in Grayslake, IL. She was also a candidate for Representative in the General Assembly for District 64 in western Lake County/eastern McHenry County in far northern Illinois.Ms. Armstrong received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Millikin University with a major in commercial art, computer graphics, and photography. Before joining CCSD 46 in 2005, Leslie began her career working in a video post-production facility in Chicago and spent 15 years in corporate marketing. Ms. Armstrong is a member of the National School Public Relations Association, a former board member-at-large and past vice-president of the Illinois chapter of the National School Public Relations Association, and currently serves on the board as a trustee for the Grayslake Arts Alliance where she was the communications chair/webmaster. Ms. Armstrong has served as a worksite leader, negotiations team member, delegate to the LCFT, vice-president, and president of the CCSD 46 Paraprofessional and School-Related Personnel labor union - a council of the Lake County Federation of Teachers, Local 504, IFT-AFT, AFL-CIO.
