Packaging Buyer
Current• Procure all packaging materials for US and Canadian promotions and holiday• Member of the Packaging Sourcing Team which is responsible for selecting vendors, sending out RFP’s, perform pricing analysis and audit all vendors to ensure they are compliant with all Corporate Procurement Guidelines.• Create Contract Packaging Specifications for our copackers.(including BOM, assembly instructions and pallet patterns)• Create and maintain BOM’s and Logistical Data in PLM• Responsible for management of eight (8) copacking facilities• Ensure all copackers have required components to produce finished goods and expedite when necessary• Responsible for all inventories at copacker facilities and destruction of all obsolete materials (this includes monthly inventory reconciliation at each facility)• Work closely with Master Planner to ensure that forecasts are accurate and production is feasible during peak periods.• Analyze requirements, inventory and forecasts to manage production, annual contract pricing, new product introductions product redesigns, promotions or product discontinuation and minimize inventory write-offs.• Responsible for all imports from third party and affiliate production facilities.
