As a frequent contributor to ACC's health news and educational outlets, MJ Vilardi wrote "Revolutionizing Life Long Learning," an overview of best practices in Cardiac Education, which features dazzling graphics and specials effects; the piece recently won 2 first-place Telly Awards.Working closely with ACC's executive and production staff, he has written and co-produced feature stories on new clinical practice technology (PINNACLE) and separate consumer videos about Cardiac Rehabilitation aimed at English- and Spanish-speaking audiences.Vilardi has served as writer and field producer for CardioSource Video News, covering late-breaking trial results and health care stories across the country, and he has interviewed many high-profile researchers, educators, and medical professionals.

Creative Director – supervised design and implementation of branding, user interface, and user experience for high tech startup in Northern Virginia.

Vilardi Films produced PSA's, music videos, industrial and educational films, including the early viral video "Don't Copy That Floppy," which won a Cine Golden Eagle. The firm also provided creative services for TV campaigns for Washington area retail companies, including Marlo Furniture. Director MJ Vilardi and his team produced the award-winning dramatic short film "Artichoke," about the CIA in the 1950's.

As Creative Director, MJ led a staff of world-class designers and animators to produce show opens, animated segments, and commercials for clients like GE, USA Today, Discovery, the CIA, NBC, Marriott, and the White house. His design for the open of The McLaughlin Group is still in use today.Capitol Video was sold to Henninger Media Services in 1993.

First as Assistant Art Director, then as Design Director, Vilardi supervised a busy art department in the daily production of appealing and accurate news graphics and animations under the tight deadlines of four daily news programs. He also created Emmy- and Addy- award winning production designs and show opens, and was a central member of a news/promotion team that kept Channel 9 number one in the Nielson rating for the entire span of his service.
