During my tenure, I administered both Cloud and On-Premises Network and Security systems/devices. Responsibilities included monitoring, utilizing Network Firewall devices and SIEMs. Later on I had started contributing to cost reduction in the Qatar Cloud team which also involved generating reports, utilizing Azure Cost Analyzer, Power BI, Excel, and creating Python scripts for Azure tenant migration.1. Established a centralized team for cost oversight, setting monthly goals through FinOps practices. Resulted in a significant reduction in Cloud spending by implementing policies and guiding engineers in resource utilization.2. Played a key role in establishing the Cloud team to align technical focus areas with business needs, reducing collisions between other teams and aligning with the Ministry's vision.3. Collaborated with various business and IT teams across Government entities to create governance processes ensuring sizing justification and preventing over-sizing before, and after project initiation across the Government sector. 4. Negotiated and enhanced vendor management, procuring vendor-agnostic items, segmentation, and developing spending maturity for informed decision-making.5. Contributed to the creation of handbooks from Cloud Service providers, educating government employees and fostering collaboration with IT teams.6. Worked with firewall vendors to troubleshoot issues with Network and Security teams regarding connectivity and VPN including various user challenges.7. Established Azure Sentinel SIEM and participated in the Zero Trust Program across the government, collaborating with IT Directors/teams for program success with the help of Microsoft and its partners.8. Built a knowledge base for the Google Cloud Platform, focusing on Finance and Governance, aligning with the Minister's vision for GCP consumption per the agreement.9. Established guidelines, templates and other documents to assist with the Cloud, and Network &Security team
