I am a professional master’s degree qualified financial and management accountant with extensive end to end commercial accounting, business administration, compliance and management experience, 20 years of which has been at a senior/executive level. This experience has been gained in various corporate environments – a start-up, a number of SME's and a large multinational corporation – and all involved in manufacturing within a number of industries including heavy engineering, pharmaceuticals and several suppliers to the building and construction industry.The completion of my Master of Professional Accounting and Business confirmed and quantified my already solid knowledge base and technical skills. It is also in line with my belief that, while continuing professional development is required by professional accounting associations, it is also essential to good business practice and the ability to effectively contribute to the growth and success of an organisation. During my career I have developed the necessary skills to view a business at both an operational and strategic level. The completion of strategic level units in my master’s degree strengthened my technical knowledge in these areas and informed strategic decisions that proved beneficial for organisational resilience.In my most recent roles I have gained over 10 years experience at an executive level and have strengthened and further developed the technical accounting and strategic operational skills that I can bring to any role. I have significant experience around product and project costing, ranging from initial cost development through to ongoing data analysis and reporting on results. I am also well versed in all areas of financial control and business administration, not only from an accounting perspective but also in terms of legal, regulatory and operational considerations.I have a strong analytical mind and I relish challenging its capabilities. I am an extremely confident individual and I love what I do.
