As the Resolve Champion at Genex, my role as an Account Director involved presenting proposals and providing closed-loop feedback training to new and existing clients to drive new business. My responsibilities also included the coaching and mentoring of Genex Account Managers and Research Executives to retain and grow existing business.

I managed two key accounts in the short-term insurance industry. My role involved monitoring and tracking multiple simultaneous CX campaigns, providing dedicated support to clients, and ensuring timeous and on-budget delivery of contracted services.

My role entailed blending qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to provide holistic insights into business challenges. I assisted IQ Business to provide deeper insights and recommendations that are actionable in business context for their clients through: Conducting analyses of Mystery Shopper Data as part of Concept, Product and Communication testing;Consolidating datasets from different research panels to report back on Financial Services Product Adoption; and Summarising detailed empirical results behind Feasibility and Market Entry research.

My role entailed assisting with the formulation of strategy with regards to:Identifying the social needs in the surroundings of the companies (application of Stakeholder Theory);Quantifying the needs in terms of the reputational impact they will have for the organisation (surveying customers and employees); and Assisting management in the compilation of the CSR strategy development and its implementation thereof.

During and after completing my Statistics Honours Degree at Rhodes University, I concurrently worked for the Statistics, Management and Economics Departments. I served as a statistics tutor for undergraduate level students; and assisted in the MBA research methodology course at Rhodes Business School on behalf of the Statistics Department. I also assisted post-graduate students with the statistical analysis for their research projects; and marked first-year level university exam papers on behalf of the Management Department. With regards to the Economics Department, I helped with a study of the socio-economic impact for the Indalo group of 13 private game reserves in the Grahamstown region; a study on campus heritage valuation (with Prof Joan Poor from St Mary’s College, Maryland in the USA); and a joint SA-UK study on cultural consumption patterns in South Africa based at the Grahamstown National Arts Festival.
