Championed learning and development strategy for Community College Preparatory Academy (CCPA) public Charter. Managed a multi-million dollar unit budget, contract negotiations, and vendor relationships. Procured and implemented the first comprehensive Learning Management System (LMS) within the organization’s history. Managed strategic alignment of CCPA goals, business objectives and various learning and development programs. This involved facilitating long range planning of learning and development resources to ensure a timely delivery and conducted needs assessments to determine the appropriate learning and development programs addressing specific academic and workforce training needs for high-needs adult students. Consulted with agency directors to ensure organizational plans, policies, procedures, & training programs were established and implemented to accomplish client-facing service needs, which enabled strategic organizational goals and workforce development services to the Washington DC community. Co-coordinated and facilitated a DEI focused nine-week Professional Learning Community (PLC) within the agency. Using the “Lean-In” approach to co-facilitate discussion groups on gender equity through a for women’s development in the workplace, in addition to a 2-part men’s session, inviting men to learn more about and engage with the challenges women face in the workplace and how they can serve as allies. Led the development and implementation of Sustainable Futures PCS as the first competency and project-based alternative high school diploma granting program in Washington, DC.
