Mark is a senior finance & operations leader recognised for his ability to translate complex issues into easily understood concepts. Mark’s expertise stems from 12 years of experience in management accounting working in various finance and operations roles within IBM. In his most recent position as Operations Leader of the EMEA Cybersecurity business unit, he drove double digit revenue and profit growth across the $0.5b turnover business. In addition, he led the strategic deployment of the 2021 budget, across the I&E down to the 9 markets, assessing market opportunity, backlog capacity and pipeline to generate an achievable split of the targets deployed by CHQ.Alongside his professional career at IBM, Mark has sought to make a difference in the community. This includes having sat on 3 trustee boards of charities, where he currently serves as a treasurer to 2; 1 in the set-up stages and 1 with a turnover in the region of £500k. He also utilises his financial skills sitting on a school governing board and assisting on their finance and resource committee, and is elected to represent church members across the Diocese of London as a member of their Synod.Mark earned his degree in Mathematics from Durham University graduating in 2008. He is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants having gained first time passes in all his exams qualifying in 2012, including a commendation in the level 2 Performance Management Exam for coming 4th globally out of c. 5000 candidate.
