Temporary contract role at the Department of Anthropology. Responsibilities included managing the department's general email account; writing and curating the department’s monthly newsletter; managing the department's website; supporting and promoting departmental events; initiating, developing and managing the department’s social media accounts; and supporting faculty, staff, and students with various administrative duties. Interviewed live on "Breakfast Television" on my last day about a viral tweet.

Redesigned and implemented the complete communications and marketing strategy for this influential member organization and public health advocacy group. Created a new website and member/donor database using the NationBuilder platform, and created corresponding member recruitment and fundraising strategies. Developed new relationships with press, policy and government stakeholders. Top campaigns included a call to implement a national pharmacare program and strategic communications for the intervenors in the Cambie Surgeries Clinic trial.

Engaging Diabetes Canada's external audiences and supporters with valuable news and information across all channels. Communications lead and social media manager for the Diabetes Canada's Clothesline program. Top projects included the Diabetes 360 national strategy; the "Kids at School" initiative; the Clinical Practice Guidelines rollout; and the Disability Tax Credit advocacy campaign, among others.

Hospice Palliative Care Ontario is a member-driven organization that serves as an advocate and liaison between the public, the provincial hospice palliative care sector, and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. In addition to developing our website, email newsletter and social media strategy, as well as the metrics for evaluating their success, I have played a vital role in our member, donor and volunteer recruitment. I have consistently grown our service and strategies over the past six years by staying on top of industry best practices, and by coaching our staff and member organizations alike on the latest developments. I am currently developing a new organizational communications strategy from the ground up, slated for implementation during the fourth quarter of 2014.

As a Supply Chain Coordinator at XM Radio Canada, I was responsible for the technical management of free satellite radio trials in vehicles across Canada.

At the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, I managed data entry and tech support for OntarioCancerTrials.ca, avsearchable online database of clinical trial activity, as well as participating in development of a national registry network.

At Public Outreach, I spearheaded a strategic development research project focused on large-scale events. I also conducted telephone and direct dialogue fundraising on behalf of CANFAR, UNICEF, Amnesty International, MSF, and a diverse range of additional clients.
