Over the past several years, the Chapter will have awarded over $250,000 in scholarships and grants to support area students and educators – reinforcing area STEM education initiatives. In 2015, we co-hosted the first joint event at APG with our Army colleagues focused on CEMA. The Chapter is also rolling out its "Young Ravens" program to deliver technical development and discussion for the Aberdeen workforce. We also give back in the form of college scholarships and sponsorship of charitable causes.

• Contributed in the design and implementation of an RTP packet reconstruction module for the Praxis FastTrack WiFi collection product.• Designed, implemented and/or updated several Windows console tools which extract and standardize data from proprietary-formatted files using C, C++ and MS Visual Studio 2003.• With a small team of developers, researched a proprietary service protocol to enable after-market user interaction, pulling a page from past Linux experience to accelerate the research and jointly produce an emulator for the protocol.• Updated binary patches written in Intel x86 Assembly used for after-market feature enhancement.• Expanded knowledge in Windows programming and its internal structures. Produced CppUnit automated tests, test procedures, user guides for impacted products. Executed tests when staff limitations prevailed.

• In C++, designed and authored a scalable, protocol-agnostic framework of data processing nodes featuring dynamically linked libraries, XML, POSIX threads and socket communications (TCP/IP and Unix)• Developed a suite of modules written in C++ and Java, applying object-oriented design, specific protocol processing, Oracle database interfacing (OCCI), TCP/IP sockets, Apache logging and POSIX • Aided in the design and implementation of a software-based DCME device using C++ and RedHat Linux while gaining exposure to E1-over-Ethernet research• Provided 24x7 technical support for globally fielded systems, including remote access, configuration and restart• Secured new business opportunities with government and commercial clients, created advertisements and marketing materials used in trade shows, served on corporate advisory panels and interviewed hiring candidates

• Contributed in the hardware and software design of a V.35/DSX-1 interface expansion module for a SOHO telephony product to provide multi-functional network connectivity• Assisted in the design and programming of a Java applet used by customers to remotely configure and monitor their ADTRAN network products• Developed a Tcl/tk toolkit to automate quality assurance testing and generate HTML-formatted reports• Voluntarily produced AdtranCoops.com, a website written with PHP and backed by a MySQL database, for ADTRAN's Human Resources department to correspond with students while working or away at school

• Designed and constructed test benches to emulate the Coca-Cola elevator-delivery glass front and Coca-Cola Wave automated vending machines, used in testing embedded software and hardware components
