I consider myself to be a professional leader with 5 years+ of experience in areas of product management, technology, innovation, brand positioning and marketing. My passion is in leading high-performance teams that enable the strategy behind primary revenue generating technology, products, and global leading brands. As a disruptor at heart, I have a passion for innovation be it in product, process, people or positioning, and leverage my skills and experience to drive a culture of innovation and collaboration as a core work ethos, with the objective of developing and identifying opportunity, value, strategic direction, and business growth. In my current role as the Head of Product Management (HOPM), My team and I are responsible for a product portfolio that comprises of over 40 core brands (international and local) that generate more than 80% of the organization’s revenue in a B2B and B2C trading environment, we work closely with these partners in new technology and solution development specific for the electronic security industry. Product-led-growth is core to my strategic management approach, and enabled through a team of Product Managers, Solutions Specialists, Coordinators and Solutions Architects, noting that maintaining a close working relationship with all stakeholders in the organization is key to this approach including that of sales, marketing, finance, logistics and IT to ensure alignment with that of the organizations vision and objectives. A few of my personal achievements include the introduction of innovative products and technologies that address key problems for enterprise clients, positive brand and product growth in 5-year product life-cycle periods across multiple brands and building product strategies and frameworks that align with the organizational strategy. I am well-versed in working at an international level in negotiations, brand and stakeholder relations, and procurement. As a means of further self-improvement, I am currently a MBA candidate at Wits Business School, where I am further enhancing my leadership, business strategy, and innovation skills.
