Specialist Audit & Fees Advisor

Tunbridge Wells

As a Specialist Audit and Fees Advisor I am responsible for a range of projects and audits relating to our Private Medical Specialist portfolio. I am responsible for analysing and challenging billing from private medical specialists that does not comply with the prescribed billing principles or fees, providing advice and guidance to specialists on how they can modify their practice to ensure compliance in future.I am responsible for supporting the team and wider department with clinical queries and handling escalated cases. Often with these cases I work closely with third parties including the Chief Medical Officer or his Deputy and the research nurses. Raf Medic (Aeromed)

Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom

I was an RAF Medic serving with 4626 Sqn Royal Auxiliary Air Force. My role involved attending regular training to maintain my readiness to deploy in support of regular military units involved in conflicts across the world. My skills included patient handling and care on the ground both pre and post-flight and managing patients during the flight on a range of aircraft and conditions. Clinically the majority of our cases were orthopaedic and trauma from both battlefield and non-battlefield causes although I was trained to deal with the whole spectrum of medical and surgical conditions. This role required a high level of fitness to cope with the demands of long shifts, challenging manual handling situations and the inherent demanding physical situations the military encounter. Clinical training was provided within each individual’s confidence and competence and often resulted in civilian recognised qualifications/certification.Involvement in the military ensured that I maintained high levels of presentation, punctuality and communication skills which are instilled in my day to day life since leaving.I undertook a successful operational tour of Afghanistan in 2013. I was one of 5 RAF flight Medics based at Bastion Role 3 hospital and worked alongside 5 RAF Flight Nurses to ensure safe and efficient patient transfers in often testing situations.
