About Mark Dunlap

I've spent the entirety of my career in some form of data work, from business analytics, big data analysis, building visualization, or creating data pipelines. All of this has been in both hands-on and team lead capacities. I'm a tinkerer by nature, so my 12 years of people management have all been defined by helping my teams learn new skills and keeping mine as fresh as possible. At the end of the day, I'm a translator - my goal is always to improve the data culture of wherever I happen to be, and that means looking for opportunities to meet my customers where they have needs, whether that's creating a curated data mart or simplifying a complex topic for broad executive consumption in a PowerPoint slide. That passion for a data culture doesn't stop with customers, either - I pride myself on helping members of my teams find their niche in the crazily broad world of data work.
