As a dynamic leader, I am an innovator and disrupter of new approaches in the communications discipline. I am interested in diversity and inclusion work. I am Filipino American and feel the need to inspire others to broaden their horizons; encourage diversity, explore cultural difference and national identity; champion indigenous populations and local communities.Curious about the world, I connect ideas and people together, creating partnerships and collaborations. As a presenter and public speaker, I inform, motivate and encourage audiences to make a change in their lives.My accomplishments include the creation of Financial Workshop Kits, (www.FinancialWorkshopKits.org) a compilation of 40-plus workshops on teaching financial education with PPT decks, scripts, and engaged activities. I also write for Asian Avenue Magazine - http://asianavemag.com. I serve on the Aurora Asian Partnership and The Women's Foundation of Colorado. It is a way to learn more about diverse communities in Colorado.My hobbies include reading books by Asian American authors, cooking Filipino dishes, exploring the world as a curious traveler of customs and cultural exchanges.Skills include public speaking, management, coalition-building partnerships, financial education, website ideas, creative writing, copy editing, nonprofit management, grant writing, adult education, philanthropic program management, supervision of contractors, coaching and mentoring professionals, excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, ability to communicate and work in a cross-cultural environment, computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office Suite and Internet applications.
