Matt was most recently the General Manager of Growth at Alexandrina Council where he was responsible for managing sustainable growth across 11 townships spanning 1,800sqkm through: implementing proactive Economic Development strategies focused on tourism and agribusiness industry development and business support, growing the visitor economy, overseeing the Planning & Development, Building Compliance, Strategic Planning , Marketing & Communications functions, and external funding attraction and delivery . Previously he held the role of Associate Director Economic Development & Innovation at the City of Adelaide (Function known as Economic Development & Tourism 2016 - 2018). The Economic Development & Innovation Program's purpose was to grow a prosperous and progressive Adelaide. He led a team that strived to positively influence and maximise potential job creation in South Australia, with a focus on Adelaide. Prior to this he was the Director of Business & Economic Development at the City of Prospect, located inner metropolitan Adelaide. With a fresh approach to investment attraction to build the local economy, Matt actively built a local business community through a range of projects under a new brand 'Network Prospect' (www.networkprospect.com.au).Matt is renowned for authentic leadership, consistent performance and demonstrated excellence across a wide range of management skills and leadership capabilities.
