I lead the Research and Analytics teams as we discover and refine ways to improve our managed-SaaS platform. Those improvements can take the form of saving customers' time, providing better insight, or enabling our software to create more lasting learning. I work with the Sales team to ensure that training content is aligned with measurable outcomes on which the customer expects improvement. I also join high-level sales calls to help guide customers to the most valid and reliable metrics. With the Client Success team, I support discussions of our platform's efficacy and its ROI with customer product owners and executive stakeholders. These often result in white papers and scientific or medical journal articles that I co-author with the client.

At Amplifire (aka Knowledge Factor), we believe that every employee should be able to reach their peak performance. We make an online learning toolkit that helps businesses make that happen. Our software leverages research in cognitive and brain science (some of which I published), which helps people learn faster, remember longer, and perform better. We also offer analytics that let you peer into the neurons of your workforce, letting you find and mitigate systemic or environmental sources of risk or misinformation. Knowledge Factor is a startup that develops training software used by test prep companies, businesses, educational publishers, healthcare providers, law enforcement agencies... Basically, if you can learn it, we can teach it--but more efficiently and more memorably than anything else you've tried. To generate insights from user data, I'm leading a team of analysts and data visualization/report designers. To generate insights from experimental manipulations of our software, I'm leading a team of researchers and data scientists. Together, these efforts explain patterns in the data that can be used to further improve our instructional content, our software algorithms, our users' experiences, and the value provided to our customers.

The ICT is a grant-funded research center. I contributed to multiple projects as an expert in assessment and experiment design, learning and memory, and statistics. These contributions supported digital interactive training on topics ranging from cross-cultural business skills to team leadership and communication to avoiding improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
