In my current position, I manage the running of five beautiful Highland lodges in Glencoe. These are open all year round and I am responsible for all administration duties, including emails, phone calls, reservations, supplies and budget management. I also organise the housekeeping and maintenance schedules. Our cottages have self check-in but I live onsite and so am available to greet guests and offer additional help or local advice where needed.

I was responsible for the day-to-day management of a family-owned castle and grounds on a 30,000-acre estate on the Morvern peninsula, a remote area of western Scotland. This involved working with the housekeeping team, the groundskeepers and the management team for the estate’s eight luxury holiday cottages. For booked events, I also arranged various levels of catering from basic lunches to full-service three-course dinners.

The Clean Cask sourced and sold the best alcohol-free craft beer, with a focus on high-quality Scottish beers.

SwimTrek provide a high-end travel experience to adventurous guests who are looking for a holiday centred around open-water swimming. My position involved travelling to global locations and being the point of contact throughout their stay. As well as being their swimming coach, lifeguard and boat safety cover, I was also responsible for restaurant bookings, hotel liaison and entertainment recommendations. This involved a high level of responsibility as locations were often remote. It also required excellent interpersonal skills as I was the point of contact with the guests on all matters during the trip.
