I developed features for an AI-powered platform identifying misinformation on social media platforms and news publications using Next.JS and TypeScript, deployed on Vercel.Also wrote an X bot allowing users to submit X posts for analysis on the platform and receive results as an X thread, allowing other users to see the analysis in context with the post. This was developed in Golang and deployed to AWS as a Docker container.

I led front end development on the Beaker Engineering team, building a React-based application in TypeScript to help in-house researchers run, track, and manage machine learning experiments executing on both cloud and on-premise hardware. My responsibilities extended into the backend, working with technologies such as Golang, Kubernetes, Docker, and Postgres to build new features across the stack, end-to-end.

AI2's Aristo is a machine reading and reasoning project with the goal of creating AI that can understand written science questions and provide answers with reasoning. As a Front End Engineer, I build useful and intuitive web applications to assist our research scientists and demonstrate the capabilities of Aristo, built upon a stack including Scala, React.js, Redux, and Git.

Full-stack developer on the Applications team for Apptio's new IT Planning Foundation product. My contributions include designing and improving UI elements as well as end-to-end feature implementations, from SQL to CSS. Our technology stack includes Java, MySQL, Mercurial, Spring for RESTful web services, and a JavaScript front-end. I work closely with the product design team, building off wireframes and discussing potential UX issues to build software that customers will enjoy interacting with. I complement my code with JUnit functional tests and automated UI tests driven by Selenium to ensure quality.

My work as an SDE in the Sustained Engineering team centered around investigating and fixing customer-found defects in the Windows 8 operating system. Fixes were shipped to customers worldwide via Windows Update.While on the File Server Technologies team I contributed to the development of Windows 8's File Classification Infrastructure feature.I moved in early 2012 to the User Experience team where my areas of responsibility included the Windows Media Center, Media Player, Touch Keyboard, Language/IME UX, and LogonUI features in Windows 8.

At MIM I worked on the company's primary medical diagnostic viewer application, working with Java and Mercurial version control. My main project was implementing the generation of PDF treatment plans for the software's new brachytherapy planning feature. I used a combination of existing images captured from the application and 2D drawing libraries to generate diagrams for needle placement within the grid and individual needle loadings.While at MIM I was able to apply my recent learnings about the Windows 7 operating system by resolving compatibility issues with Windows Vista/7.

Contributed to development on Silverlight-based webapp for visualizing team workload for planning development sprints and developer capacity.Implemented bug fixes in Windows 7 codebase through porting of previous fixes and root-causing unfixed issues. Resolved 4 issues in file-sharing feature areas. Also communicated between product teams to prevent regressions in future versions of the product.

I performed software testing on Groovy-based webapps using prewritten test plans and designed new test plans to verify fixed defects and new feature implementations. Working in a Java/Grails/Oracle stack, I implemented features requested by customers, including storage quota management and a database-driven medical image routing system capable of routing DICOM data to different locations on a hospital network based on matching DICOM tags with user-defined rules. I also led meetings to review and discuss feature implementation and wrote technical specifications for my larger features.
